Hosťom úvodného podujatia BHD bude evanjelický generálny biskup Ivan Eľko. V rozhovore s moderátorom a následne i s publikom priblíži hlavné mílniky svojej životnej a duchovnej cesty. Dotkne sa aj zlomových bodoch diania v Evanjelickej cirkvi v posledných desaťročiach a aktuálnych duchovných otázok. Nevyhne sa ani aktuálnym diskusiám medzi evanjelikmi na Slovensku a vo svete o správnom chápaní manželstva a sexuálneho života a o ochrane nenarodeného ľudského života.
Ivan Eľko is a Slovak evangelical clergyman who has served as the General Bishop of the Evangelical Church of the Augsburg Confession in Slovakia since 2018. After studying at the Evangelical Divinity Faculty of the Charles University in Bratislava, he worked as a pastor in Kostolno, Krajno and Nitra. In March 2019, he became chairman of the Ecumenical Council of Churches in the Slovak Republic.
Martin Mihálik is the headmaster of the Citadel Primary School, which is part of the Anton Neuwirth College Educational Institute. As part of the projects at the College, he conducts online seminars for the public on theological issues, and is currently running a seminar Christianity, Judaism and Islam : The Great Legal Issues in Religions. In the past, he has led seminars on Pope Francis and the Synodal Church or the Mystique of the Holy Mass.
