Vojna na Ukrajine prebieha už tretí rok. Obyvateľstvo na Ukrajine čelí najväčším príkoriam ale vojna sa dotýka aj slovenskej reality. Nepriateľstvo ide naprieč rodinami, žurnalistickou obcou aj verejnou mienkou a prenáša sa aj do vzťahov na Slovensku. Cieľom podujatia je ukázať, že diskutovať sa to dá aj inak, bez nálepkovovania či ad hominem útokov. Diskusia bude prebiehať v tzv. oxfordskom štýle: najskôr obaja rečníci predstavia svoje odpovede na tri otázky (15 min každý) a potom budú mať ďalších 10 minút na to, aby odpovedali na námietky svojmu oponentovi. Následne bude pokračovať diskusia oboch rečníkov s moderátorom a publikom.
The native of Pressburg, studied history in Vienna and Zagreb, and continues his studies in Eastern European Studies in Regensburg and Munich. He writes on foreign and security policy for the daily Postoj, and previously worked as a student assistant at the Collegium Carolinum research institute in Munich in a project on the religious history of Slovakia in the 20th century. He specializes mainly in the Balkans, Russia and Ukraine, and is currently involved in a research project on the history of infrastructure in Yugoslavia.
Peter Števkov vyštudoval ekonomiku a medzinárodné vzťahy. Doktorát získal na Masarykovej univerzite v Brne. Ako novinár pôsobil v TA3, Denníku Slovensko či v Štandarde.
Samuel Trizuljak studied political science and history at the universities of Cambridge, Oxford and Heidelberg. His interest in the history of Catholic thought is further developed as a PhD student at Charles University in Prague. As a lecturer he cooperates with the Ladislav Hanus Society and the Anton Neuwirth College. As a speechwriter, he has worked for several politicians, most recently for the Minister of Defence Jaroslav Naď. His book At Height to Depth: 33 Advice to Faithful Students in Bratislava, Oxford or elsewhere was published in September 2021.
