Pope Francis has been the head of the Church for 10 years as Bishop of Rome. Upon his accession, he set out to reform the Curia, decentralize the Church, and ultimately change communication within the Church and from the Church to the world. How has he succeeded in his intentions so far? Many see his pontificate as a needed new wind for the Church, an aggiornamento 2.0. Others fear the doctrinal ambiguity of papal documents and pronouncements, as well as the widening schisms in the Church (Amoris Laetitia, Tradicionis custodes, the German Synod). The aim of the event will be to explore these two perspectives in an honest Czech-Slovak theological discussion.

Martin Mihálik is the headmaster of the Citadel Primary School, which is part of the Anton Neuwirth College Educational Institute. As part of the projects at the College, he conducts online seminars for the public on theological issues, and is currently running a seminar Christianity, Judaism and Islam : The Great Legal Issues in Religions. In the past, he has led seminars on Pope Francis and the Synodal Church or the Mystique of the Holy Mass.
Peter Dvořák is a philosopher and researcher in the Institute of Philosophy at the Czech Academy of Sciences. Since 2010 he has been leading a team at the Department for the Study of Ancient and Medieval Thought, which deals with philosophy, logic and theology from pre-Socratic times to the early modern period. Peter Dvořák's research focuses on the history of scholastic philosophy and logic in relation to contemporary analytic philosophy.
He studied law at the University of Vienna and works as an assistant at the University of Wiener Neustadt. He specializes in European law, legal philosophy and church history. He takes interest in what is happening in the Catholic Church. He is a member of the chairmainship of Ladislav Hanus Fellowship.
