Ružomberok Hanus days
A few weeks ago, the whole world watched the conclave. Films are being made about the popes and the Vatican, often ideologically controversial. At the same time, it is true that few places respect the pope as much as in Slovakia. We tend to speak only in good terms about popes. However, the truth is that there have been good and bad popes, controversial and forgotten representatives of Christ on earth. An engaging lecture by an American historian will reveal selected profiles of popes, their relationship to Catholic doctrine and political power, and will help us perceive the papal office and its officials in their true historical reality.
