Americké voľby 2020 boli prelomové. Potvrdili rozčesnutie Ameriky na dva nekompatibilné svetonázorové tábory: prichádzajúci svet ekologickej konverzie, globálneho multikulturalizmu a nového digitálneho humanizmu proti starému svetu osobnej slobody, rodinného života, lokálnej komunity a kresťanských tradícii. K Bidenovi sa hlásia akademické, kultúrne aj technologické elity, Trump je hrdinom „obyčajných ľudí“ a nedeľných kresťanov, ten, kto v ich mene povie aj veci, ktoré sa dnes nesmú hovoriť. Čo prinesie zrážka dvoch svetov a víťazstvo prvého z nich?
Roman Joch je riaditeľom inštitútu pre výskum práce a rodiny pri slovenskom Ministerstve práce. V jeho rodnej Českej republike pôsobil ako konzervatívny politik, publicista, politický komentátor a prekladateľ. V minulosti pôsobil ako poradca českého premiéra pre oblasť zahraničia a ľudských práv. Je častým hosťom rozhlasových a televíznych relácií. Medzinárodným vzťahom sa venuje, okrem iného, aj vo svojich knihách. Od roku 2003 bol riaditeľom Občianskeho inštitútu. Tvrdí, že pre západnú civilizáciu nie je islamizmus existenciálnou hrozbou. Najväčšou hrozbou je pre nás, podľa neho, strata viery vo vlastné civilizačné vedomie a poslanie.
Miriam Lexmann (KDH/EĽS) is a Member of the European Parliament. Her priorities include the protection of freedom, democracy and human dignity in Slovakia, the European Union and the world. She is a member of the EP Committee on Foreign Affairs, the Subcommittee on Security and Defence and the Committee on Employment and Social Affairs. She is also a member of the Delegation for relations with Belarus and of the Delegation to the Euronest Parliamentary Assembly for cooperation with the Eastern Partnership countries. She is one of the founding members and co-chair of the Inter-Parliamentary Alliance on China (IPAC), as well as of the Hong Kong Informal Group for the Protection of Freedom and the United For Ukraine Working Group. She is a member of the Board of Directors of the Tuneg, Puchik and Tesar Foundation and a member of the Board of the Forum for Life. She has worked extensively on issues of child and youth safety on the internet and new technologies, with an emphasis on artificial intelligence, where she ensures that the human being and their welfare is always at the centre. She is working to improve the status of carers and better care for the elderly as well as the socially or medically disadvantaged. Prior to her election to the European Parliament, she worked in the field of democracy promotion as Director of the European Office of the International Republican Institute. Prior to that, she worked in diplomacy as Permanent Representative of the Slovak Republic to the EU as well as in other advisory positions within the European Parliament and the Council of Europe.
Robert Royal is an american academic, president of Faith and Reason institute and editor in chief of journal The Catholic Thing. He studied in Brown University, Rhode Islande a achieved a doctoral degree in Comparative Literature in Catholic University of America, Washingtone DC. He is autor of a number of publications, translated into other languages. From this list we will mention the last one: Columbus and the Crisis of the West. This year he was named the first St. John Henry Newman Visiting Chair in Catholic Studies at Thomas More College in New Hampshire.
Samuel Trizuljak studied political science and history at the universities of Cambridge, Oxford and Heidelberg. His interest in the history of Catholic thought is further developed as a PhD student at Charles University in Prague. As a lecturer he cooperates with the Ladislav Hanus Society and the Anton Neuwirth College. As a speechwriter, he has worked for several politicians, most recently for the Minister of Defence Jaroslav Naď. His book At Height to Depth: 33 Advice to Faithful Students in Bratislava, Oxford or elsewhere was published in September 2021.
