Bratislava
Hanus
days
We would like to honor the day of the feast of Corpus Christi during the Bratislava Hanus Days in an appropriate manner. We therefore cordially invite you to celebrate this festive time with a Holy Mass, which will take place at a non-traditional night hour and will also be associated with a solemn procession.
The celebrant will be this year's foreign guest of the festival - a Dominican monk from the USA Fr. Gregory Maria Pine, O.P., who is currently a highly sought-after Catholic speaker. The Holy Mass will therefore exceptionally be held in English. The transcript of Holy Mass in English will be available in hard copy.
You can also look forward to the Apollo Mixed Choir under the direction of the conductor, doc. Milan Kolena ArtD. The choir will perform during the Mass a number of sacred compositions, mostly in Latin.

Father Gregory Maria Pine is a Dominican friar who actively spreads the teaching of St. Thomas Aquinas through the podcasts Pints with Aquinas and Godsplaining. In his latest book, Prudence: Choose Confidently, Live Boldly, he discusses prudence as the chief virtue that brings to one's life order, integrity, happiness, and freedom. Father Gregory studied at the University of Steubenville and the Dominican House of Studies. He is currently pursuing a doctorate in dogmatic theology at the University of Fribourg (Switzerland). In the past, he worked with students at the Thomistic Institute as an assistant director.
The Apollo Choir is a chamber mixed choir that has been active in Bratislava since 1995. Its repertoire includes multi-voice choral compositions of various styles - from the Renaissance to the present day. In addition to sacred music, it also focuses on folk songs and carols in choral arrangement. It performs at various choral music festivals at home and abroad. It has also successfully represented Slovakia at international competitions, from which it has already won several important awards. Among its outstanding achievements are, for example, participation in the Incanto Mediterraneo 2019 festival in Milazzo, Sicily, and the Rimini International Choral Festival 2016.
