• What is the art in a movie?
  • Why should be the audience exposed to movies of high art quality?
  • How is it possible that a better religious movie is made by an atheist rather than a religious man?

In one episode of Pints with Aquinas podcast, Dominican monk Fr. Gregory Pine discusses the reason of distraction of our attention from contemplation of God and deprivation of our calmness and self-improvement, caused by modern pop music and film production. Recent movies and TV series mostly aim at our lower instincts and passions instead of showing us Truth, Good and Beauty. Which movies are not appropriate for Christians? And what kind of art is valuable? The authors of the newest volume of Verbum journal – cameraman Timotej Križka, screenwriter Martin Leidenfrost and film director Slavomír Zrebný, will speak about the examples of high-quality art representing Christian values.

Skyva – Zuzana Eperješiová

Skyva, vlastným menom Zuzana Eperješiová, je speváčka, skladateľka a klaviristka z Košíc. Skyva – meno ako kúsok chleba z rozprávky. V príbehoch to býva znak pohostinnosti, láskavosti, tichého dobra.
